INTRODUCTION TO NON-DESTRUCTIVE TESTING
Minimize

Course Description

This 24 hours course will provide an appreciation and overall view of current NDT techniques, their limitation and scope on how they are used in various industrial and engineering applications and evaluation for quality control.

It is geared to meet the needs of engineering and manufacturing organisations having an interest to widen the awareness and knowledge in NDT technology of their technical manager, engineers, supervisors and technicians who do not normally perform the tests themselves but need a sound basic understanding of the technology for technical evaluation, decision making and management. Persons who have experience in NDT knowledge and need increased familiarity with more advanced techniques will also benefit from this course.

  • Essential elements of a NDT method
  • Common NDT methods
    • Visual testing
    • penetrant testing
    • magnetic particle testing
    • radiographic tetsing
    • ultrasonic testing
    • eddy current testing
    • magnetic flux leakage testing
    • time of flight diffraction testing
    • real time radiography
