The seminar is about the water industry and the places for and handling of stainless steels from water treatment plant through distribution to waste water treatment including:
1. Behavior of metals in waters and some common misconceptions
2. Water sourcing from dams to desalination and water treatment plant
3. Distribution from underground to high rise buildings
4. Wastewater plants, recycling and the demands on materials
5. Design, fabrication and welding issues for structures and pipework – including purging considerations
6. Multiple applications including Australian examples across the industry, short response operation of a desalination plant plus tea staining and its control.
EVENT 2 : STAINLESS & NICKEL ALLOYS IN THE PETROCHEMICAL INDUSTRY- 26 OCT 2016
The seminar relates to the Petrochemical Industry and has been developed from seminars prepared by Nickel Institute consultants.
The 6 sessions include relevant examples from the industry and include:

2. Aqueous corrosion
3. High temperature corrosion mechanisms
4. High temperature strength & microstructural stability
